Colleen F. Ponto, Ed.D., is Associate Academic Dean and Faculty of the Organization Systems Renewal (OSR) Graduate Program at Pinchot, a university for the common good in Seattle, Washington. Grounded in systems and design, OSR offers a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership. Systems thinking and leadership development are at the heart of Colleen’s teaching and consulting and she specializes in helping clients develop their systems thinking skills and leadership capacities in order to address complex organizational issues and opportunities. Colleen also leads a nonprofit organization in her community dedicated to environmental education for children and their families. Before becoming a professor and consultant, Colleen worked as a pulp and paper engineer and production manager for the Weyerhaeuser Paper Company. She received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Seattle University, her master’s degree in Whole Systems Design from Antioch University Seattle, and her bachelor’s degree in Paper Science and Engineering from the University of Washington. She lives with her husband and three children near Seattle, Washington.
